COP30 will have a special transport system with 15 exclusive lines in Belém

The operation will operate 24 hours a day and includes buses, taxis, apps, and sustainable cycle paths.

The organizers of COP30 , which will be held in Belém from November 1 to 23, 2025 , released the official urban mobility plan for participants and delegations. The special plan includes 15 exclusive bus lines , taxi ranks, and ride-hailing apps, as well as routes focused on active mobility, such as bike lanes and bike racks.

The official transportation system, known as Zona Azul , will serve exclusively accredited Conference members and will operate 24 hours a day, 24 hours a day , throughout the event. To use the service, you will need to present your Zona Azul accreditation or a letter of authorization issued by the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change).

The dedicated lines will run along the capital’s main roads, including Nazaré, José Malcher, Almirante Barroso, and Augusto Montenegro avenues , as well as BR-316 , connecting Belém to the metropolitan region . The system will also serve the districts of Icoaraci, Outeiro, and Mosqueiro , and the municipalities of Ananindeua, Marituba, Benevides, Santa Izabel, and Castanhal .

For those opting for private transportation, there will be dedicated pickup and drop-off points . Taxis will operate on Avenida Visconde de Inhaúma , between Avenida Dr. Freitas and Avenida Alferes Costa. Ride-hailing apps , such as Uber and 99, will have a dedicated area on Avenida Rômulo Maiorana , between Avenida Dr. Freitas and Lomas Valentinas.

The organizers have reiterated that there will be no parking in the event areas. Drivers of private cars, vans, or buses must use Avenida Duque de Caxias only for boarding and disembarking, without remaining on site.

Municipal public buses will continue to operate normally and may be used by visitors staying outside the coverage area of the dedicated lines. The closest drop-off point to COP30 will be on Avenida Almirante Barroso , between Avenida Júlio César and Avenida Dr. Freitas.

In keeping with the event’s sustainability vision, COP30 also encourages the use of active mobility , such as bicycles, electric scooters, and other non-motorized modes. Bicycle racks will be installed near the entrance to the Blue Zone on Avenida Brigadeiro Protásio , as part of the Parque da Cidade cycle path.

According to organizers, the COP30 mobility plan was designed to ensure safety, fluidity and low environmental impact , reinforcing the event’s commitment to urban sustainability and reducing carbon emissions .
