Rich in cultural diversity, authentic flavors, and breathtaking natural beauty, Pará is finally beginning to claim its rightful place in both Brazilian and international tourism. In recent years, the state has seen strategic investments in infrastructure, culture, and professional training, positioning itself as an increasingly prepared destination for travelers seeking genuine experiences.

This momentum is no coincidence. Behind the revitalization of iconic landmarks like Ver-o-Peso and the São Brás Market are large-scale projects such as Porto Futuro, Nova Doca, and the City Park. All of these are part of a clear public policy: to place Pará at the heart of cultural and experiential tourism. Initiatives like the “Capacita Pará” program—which has already trained over 21,000 professionals in hospitality and gastronomy—show that this transformation goes beyond construction works, highlighting the value of people as well.

The upcoming COP30, set to take place in Belém, will be the pinnacle of this new chapter. More than just an event, it represents a turning point in the global visibility of the state. For the first time, the Amazon will be center stage in discussions about the planet’s future—and Pará will be the host. While international tourism still tends to revolve around the obvious, tomorrow it may discover the deeper Brazil: a land of many voices, aromas, and rhythms—from tacacá to carimbó, from bustling markets to quiet igarapés.

Mass tourism often dilutes destinations. What Pará offers is the exact opposite. Here, visitors immerse themselves in ancestral cultures, indigenous and Afro-Brazilian culinary traditions, and landscapes too grand to be captured by any filter. It is the living Amazon—inhabited, sung, and celebrated daily by its people.

The time is now. The world wants to know the Amazon, and Pará is ready. But this growth must be responsible, inclusive, and planned for the long term. Tourism can—and should—be a driver of development, but not at the cost of losing what makes it so special: its authenticity.

Let Brazil, and the world, not miss the chance to discover Pará before it becomes just another trendy destination. Because Pará is more than a place to visit. It’s a place to feel.
